"Skate Para Meninas Street Show" at Brasil
X-Games winner Karen Jonz supports together with DARK DOG
São Paulo, Brasil: Skate-boarding is a kind of sport that gains more and more importance in Brasil and that is getting especially popular to young girls. The international well-known skateboard champion Karen Jonz plays an important role in this development, as she is the first girl that achieved a fantastic victory during the Summer X-Games 2008 (one of the most important and biggest extreme sport events) at Los Angeles! The year after, she could build on this great success and reached second position at the Summer X-Games 2009!
End of last year, DARK DOG supported the contest "Skate Para Meninas Street Show" (Young Girls Skateboarding Street Show) which took place in one of the biggest and most important event parks of São Paulo and counted more than 1,000 exciting spectators.
DARK DOG provided MORE ENERGY with its Guarana & Vitamin Energy Drink to all skaters and guests during this event. The DARK DOG skateboarder Karen Jonz signed autographs to her fans and spectators, gave different interviews, and took part in a graffiti contest.
The results of the "Skate Para Meninas Street Show", one of the most important skateboarding events of Latin America, count for the national skateboard ranking of Brasil and at the same time are important for the application of a national sport scholarship.
