Indianapolis, USA:
Fantastic weather conditions welcomed the MotoGP World Championship on the characteristic Motor Speedway of Indianapolis, where not just the sun was smiling, but as well both riders of the team. In fact, Jules Cluzel qualified in fourth row, while his new teammate, Raffaele De Rosa, ended up in 7th row.
A sixteenth and a twenty-third place are the results of Jules Cluzel and Raffaele De Rosa during the Grand Prix in Indianapolis. Without a doubt a performance which can not satisfy the high expectations of the ambitious NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team.
Jules Cluzel, was not able to show his whole potential because of a limited confidence with the front wheel, a difficulty which is handicapping the young French rider since a few sessions. His 24 year old teammate from Napoli, Raffaele De Rosa, had to face a tricky race as well. He was slowed down in the first corners, losing several positions. During the following comeback race Raffaele made a mistake while trying to pass another rider and lost again numerous places.
Positive instead was the fact that both riders of the team were able to go their pace until the end of the race, while a lot of competitors had to slow down significantly their lap times.
16th position
"I'm actually not satisfied with my race, unfortunately we were not able to reduce the gap to the fastest as I hoped yesterday after the qualifying. However, my start itself was not that bad, but already after a few laps I struggled a lot while trying to follow the riders in front of me and later several competitors were able to pass me, but I absolutely didn't want to risk one more crash. I'm truly sorry about this result today, because especially after not finishing the race in Brno I really wanted to score some points for the team."
23rd position
"First of all I'm satisfied that I finished the race. Of course, I would have preferred to leave Indianapolis with some points, but I still have sixth races in front of me to demonstrate my talent. The main problem today was my position on grid, because even after an actually really good start I got blocked in the traffic in the first corners. Later I was catching up positions until a small mistake canceled the work of several laps in just a few seconds. Nevertheless I'm leaving America with a lot of positive feelings, because especially at the end of the race when the other riders were not able to maintain their speed, I could gain quite a lot of time, which might be important in other circumstances."
