Only three seconds separated

DARK DOG rider Cluzel from the leading group

Aragon, Spain: Aragon circuit was the last European destination before the oversea races of Japan, Australia and Malaysia. The efforts of the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team have resulted in an excellent seventh position on the starting grid for Jules Cluzel. Despite the cancelation of the second practice due to the loss of electric power, the young French rider has managed to qualify at only two tenths from the third position, creating great expectations for the race. On the other hand, it has been a weekend focused on the achievement of the ideal setting for his teammate Raffaele De Rosa, who will qualified on the ninth row on grid.

After Saturday´s storm, another storm hits, this time sports wise, the DARK DOG riders. In fact both riders of the team have been unable to see the checkered flag on Sunday. Jules Cluzel fell on the tenth lap while holding the eleventh position following the leading group with a gap of only three seconds from the fastest. His teammate, Raffaele De Rosa, has lucked out after a great opening lap followed by a good first part of the race. He was constrained to retire after breaking the gearshift lever, preventing him from continuing with his outstanding progression.

Even both riders couldn't show their talent on the Spanish track, there is still hope to score some important points during the next oversea races, starting in Motegi, Japan, on 2nd of October. DARK DOG is going to support the whole NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team until the very end with MORE ENERGY.

"I am deeply sorry for what has happened, specially considering my performance up to the moment I crashed. I had a good start and was able to maintain my seventh position. Even though I struggled to reach a good pace, I was still in the leading group at only three seconds from the head of the race when I fell between the eighth and ninth corner. After the crash I tried to rejoin the race but because of my disappointment I made another mistake which made it impossible for me to continue the race. I am really sorry for the results."

"Of course I am very unhappy not being able to finish the race. Despite this fact, I can say that I have gathered numerous positive impressions throughout the race which make me really optimistic for the next one in Japan. The biggest difficulty that I have encountered at the moment is that I still need too much time to find the right setting for the race day, which causes starting positions on the grid that do not make things easier for me at the beginning for the race. Today I was able to recuperate seven positions on the first lap and after making some little mistakes in the fights with my competitors, I managed to reach a good pace not too far from the ones of the top 10 riders. That's why I'm particularly disappointed of retiring from the race due to a technical problem."
