DARK DOG riders

had to face a hard race in Japan

Motegi, Japan: The fifteenth and long discussed appointment of the season on the tricky Motegi Twin Ring saw both riders of the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team with patchy performances during the weekend which forced them to face the race from the middle of the starting grid. In fact, Raffaele De Rosa qualified in twentieth place while his teammate, Jules Cluzel, had to face the race from the twenty-seventh position.

The fortune was not assisting the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team during the race of the MotoGP World Championship 2011 in Motegi. In fact Raffaele De Rosa had to retire at the end of the first lap because Ricky Cardus and Jordi Torres hit his bike while crashing out in the third corner. Even if the young Italian rider handled to reach the pit box with the damaged bike, it wasn't possible for him to finish the race as his rear tire got deeply cut during the contact with the other bikes.

An unlucky result as well for Jules Cluzel, the young French rider, who was convincing with a good comeback race, ended up in an unhappy sixteenth position after starting from the ninth row on the grid. DARK DOG is looking forward to the next race in Phillip Island, Australia on 16th of October. Once again DARK DOG is going to support the whole NGM Forward Racing Team with MORE ENERGY.

Cluzel Jules, 16

16th position
"I had the same difficulties during the whole weekend, fortunately we were able to improve the behavior of the bike a lot, but I think we still have some margin during the next races. Anyway, I'm happy that I finished the race and I believe that this was the best position I could reach at this moment. Now we have to analyze the data from today to be more competitive in Australia."

"Actually I do not know what to say about my race, as it lasted just two corners. It's really a shame because I had a very good start and was able to gain immediately important positions, when I saw a bike arriving incredibly fast and a few seconds after this I felt a hard hit on the back of my bike. Fortunately I could avoid to crash but I had to pass through the sand beside the track. I tried to come back to the pit box as the tail was completely damaged, I wanted to continue the race, even just to get a better feeling with the bike, but unfortunately the rear tyre had been cut during the accident so that it would have been too dangerous to continue. I'm upset about this result as it has not been my mistake and after watching the race I'm really convinced that I would have scored my first points for the team. "
